Letter, January 24, 1867.

Letter to John T. Stuart in Springfield, Illinois, asking assistance with the case of a Mr. Lille who, after the fall of Vicksburg in 1863, got a permit to collect rags and other cast offs in the area. However, Lille was arrested and his material confiscated, so Lille was suing for restitution.
